Madam Engineer Initiative to Host Leadership Session with Satellite Technology Executive Caroline Kamaitha
Nairobi, Kenya – March 2026 — The Madam Engineer Initiative will host a virtual leadership and mentorship event on March 18, 2026, bringing together female engineers and aspiring technology leaders for an inspiring career conversation with Caroline Kamaitha, a distinguished executive in Africa’s technology and satellite communications sector.
The event, titled “Your Career, Your Future!”, will provide participants with a unique opportunity to gain insights into leadership, innovation, and career development within rapidly evolving technology fields such as satellite communications, enterprise technology, and digital infrastructure.
Organized under the Madam Engineer Initiative’s mission to empower women in engineering, the session aims to inspire the next generation of female professionals by connecting them directly with accomplished leaders who have shaped the engineering and technology landscape across Africa.
Caroline Kamaitha currently serves as Vice President Enterprise & Cloud and Vice President Africa at SES Satellites, where she leads enterprise and cloud-based satellite connectivity solutions across the region. She has previously held senior leadership roles including CEO of Afsat iWay Zambia and has extensive experience in regional sales leadership and technology management.
During the session, Kamaitha will share her professional journey, discuss leadership lessons from her career, and provide practical guidance for women navigating careers in engineering, technology, and innovation-driven industries.
The event will also feature an interactive discussion segment, allowing participants to ask questions and engage directly with the speaker on topics including career advancement, leadership development, and opportunities for women in emerging technology sectors.
